Winners and Photos

With plenty of fantastic entries in the Picture Yourself in the Midlands competition, the judging panel was spoilt for choice in selecting the winners.

“This competition has shown how many talented photographers have visited our outdoor spaces this summer,” said Samantha Humphreys, Marketing Consultant for the National Trust.  “It was difficult to select just four wining photographs, but I and the other judges felt that the winners really captured the spirit of the places they visited and the fun they had.”

The four winners are:

Lauren Monk from Shrewsbury (age 5-8 category) View the winning photo

Raoul de Sousa from Nottingham (age 9 -12 category) View the winning photo

Lauren Reesby from Daventry (age 13-16 category) View the winning photo

Scott Cartwright from Shrewsbury (age 16+ category) View the winning photo

Each will receive a canvas reproduction of their photograph, with the overall winner, Lauren Monk, also winning a GE camera and a VIP family day out.  Lauren has chosen Charlecote Park in Warwickshire for her special day, where she and her family will have an exclusive tour of the park in our Land Rover or safari trailer, including a visit into the deer sanctuary to see our herd of fallow deer and our Jacob sheep, and lunch in the Park’s restaurant.

Activities for children are taking place at the Trust all year round. For more information and a full list of events please visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/midlands.
