The Prizes.

Every month you'll have the chance to win a fantastic prize, with the winning monthly photo appearing in a high profile National Trust advertising campaign in 2009. Winners will also receive an A3 reproduction of their photograph framed and mounted and the opportunity to see their entry displayed at a high profile exhibition in Northern Ireland.

Winners will also receive a family day out at a National Trust venue of their choice in Northern Ireland, with the prize including admission, lunch and a guided tour.

So you could spend a day on Strangford Lough counting seals with a warden, or at Mount Stewart getting your hands dirty in the garden with a gardener. Taking a hike around Divis and the Black Mountain with one of the team or paddling on a boat around Crom Demesne, it's your National Trust so you make the choice.

At the end of the competition, the overall winner will receive a digital camera and a chance to hone their photographic skills at a National Trust property with Chris Hill, one of Northern Ireland's most experienced and respected photographers.

How to Enter.

The competition is open for entries from October 6th 2008 until October 1st 2009. By registering online you'll be able to join our 'Picture Yourself' community and begin uploading your pictures for submission on to our competition website. You'll also be able to vote and comment on your favorite pictures.

You can enter as many times as you like but each picture may only be submitted once. Multiple submissions of the same photo will be considered void and removed from the site. You can submit your photo in any of the following formats (gif, jpg, jpeg, png) although each submission is restricted to a maximum file size of 10Mb.

From family snaps to wildlife studies and breathtaking landscapes, you're free to choose the subject. Our only requirement is that your photos are taken at National Trust locations throughout Northern Ireland and meet our full competition terms and conditions.

With no entry restrictions on age or ability, your photo will be judged equally regardless of whether it's a holiday snap or professionally taken photo, but if you are under the age of 18 years you will be required to confirm parental consent.

At the start of each month until October 1st 2009 a panel of judges will select a winner from all the entries submitted in the previous month. The winner will be notified by the 8th of each month and each winning entry will be announced on the site.

In October 2009 a panel of judges will select an overall winner from the preceding twelve monthly winners. The overall winner will win a day at a National Trust property with acclaimed photographer Chris Hill. In all occasions the judges' decision is final.
